She Did

They told her she was too much ~
too loud, too kind, too different, too deep.
Said she needed to tone it down,
fit in, follow the plan.

But she knew better.
She knew the way home wasn’t a straight line ~
it was barefoot,
through forest and fire,
with heart wide open.

They told her she couldn’t.
So she did.
Not to prove them wrong ~
but to prove to herself
that the voice inside her was still alive.

She wasn’t raised by systems.
She was raised by stories,
elders,
soil under her nails.

She didn’t tick the boxes ~
she burned them.
Planted gardens in their ashes.

They called her soft,
but softness was her strength.
She stayed when others walked away.
She listened. She showed up.
She gave what she didn’t have,
and built something from nothing ~
again and again.

She never wanted a spotlight ~
only a safe place
for the wild ones to land.
The ones who’d been told
they were too much too.

She ran with wolves
but stopped for strays.
Built spaces from love, not rules.
Loved fiercely,
even when it broke her open.

She didn’t do it for praise.
She did it because
something in her said
‘go anyway’.

And so she did.
And still does ♡♡
